Physical Design Lead

Eteros is seeking a highly experienced Physical Design Lead Engineer to lead the implementation of complex mixed-signal SoCs. As part of our development team, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and working with external IP vendors to integrate blocks into the design.

This position requires strong technical leadership skills, as well as excellent communication and project management skills. You must have experience in all phases of the IC design process from RTL->GDS2, including analog/mixed/custom signal PNR experience. TSMC 7nm PNR sign-off experience using a full COT flow from RTL/gate to GDS is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of complex mixed-signal SoCs
  • Build and guide a team of engineers
  • Work with external IP vendors to integrate blocks into the design
  • Ensure that each aspect of the design meets the specified requirements

Technical Requirements:

  • Experience in all phases of the IC design process from RTL->GDS2
  • Analog/Mixed/Custom Signal PNR experience preferred
  • TSMC 7nm PNR sign-off experience using a full COT flow from RTL/gate to GDS
  • Hierarchical Place & Route experience
  • Floorplanning, clock & power network architecture and design experience
  • UPF/CPF power intent flow – multiple supply domains (bump, deca, power switch placement methods)
  • Thorough understanding of digital design, timing analysis, and DFT
  • LVS/DRC/ERC, EMIR (static & dynamic) knowledge
  • FCBGA I/O ring layout knowledge
  • EDA Tools: Cadence (Innovus, Voltus), Mentor (Calibre), Ansys (Redhawk, Totem)

Experience:

  • Bachelor's/Master's/PhD degree in EE or related field with 5-10 years' experience in chip implementation and 3-5 years as a top-level lead
  • Proven track record with multiple successful final production tape-outs at 16/14nm, 10nm, preferably 7nm
  • Knowledge of and experience with embedded processors
  • Knowledge of and experience with high-speed interfaces and memory controllers
  • Ability to contribute to and guide the development process to meet stringent industry segment requirements
  • Automotive-qualified designs experience
  • Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-moving startup environment
