Job Title: Electronics Design Specialist

The role of the Electronics Design Specialist is to contribute to the success of electronics design projects, collaborating with the project leader in requirements management, circuit design, analysis, implementation, and testing of aerospace electronics products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Component selection, analog, and digital circuit design, and schematic entry
  • Circuit analysis for tolerance, power, thermal, and worst-case analysis
  • Layout guidelines and interface with layout engineer for implementation
  • Board bring up and testing
  • Environmental testing
  • Process, quality, and program compliance

The successful candidate will support technical decisions on design and implementation during product development. They will participate in critical high-level and low-level design reviews, analyze problems, and develop effective solutions.

The Electronics Design Specialist will generate, evaluate, select, and implement state-of-the-art solutions, participating in progress review meetings and making significant technical contributions essential to project completion. They will contribute to preparing technology roadmaps for product hardware.

Requirements
  • BE/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech with 7-8 years of experience in Electronics & Communication Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Power Electronics
  • Good understanding of electronics hardware involving digital/microprocessor circuits fundamentals, power, and EMI circuits
  • Electrical design experience with high-speed digital or mixed signal design
  • Ability to simplify circuits and explain underlying concepts clearly
  • Ability to provide technical guidance, leadership at project context
  • Self-motivated with focus on results, sense of urgency, and working boundaryless

Additional Requirements:

  • Design experience for complying EMI/EMC in power electronics applications and exposure with RF conducted and radiated emissions/susceptibility testing
  • Good understanding of grounding and shielding techniques. Chassis design for good EMC is an added advantage
  • Thorough knowledge of board design, EMI filter design, lightning analysis, component selection
