Job Title: Marine Procurement Specialist

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Procurement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the procurement of spare parts, consumables, and technical equipment for vessels.

Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and procuring spare parts, consumables, and technical equipment for vessels;
  • Identifying, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and high-quality products;
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure reliable support;
  • Processing purchase requisitions from vessels and fleet management teams efficiently;
  • Ensuring accurate and timely order placement, tracking, and follow-ups;
  • Coordinating with logistics and supply chain teams to arrange timely delivery of goods to vessels at ports worldwide;
  • Maintaining accurate records of purchases, contracts, and vendor agreements;
  • Assisting during audits related to procurement and inventory management;
  • Collaborating closely with vessel superintendents and technical teams to understand and fulfill purchasing requirements;
  • Providing alternative solutions when specific parts or equipment are unavailable;
  • Keeping vessels updated on order status and delivery timelines;

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or Logistics;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in marine procurement or a related field;
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities;
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment;
  • Proficiency in procurement and inventory management software;
  • Familiarity with international maritime regulations;
  • Experience in international logistics and customs clearance for marine spares;
