Job Title: Raw Materials Sourcing Specialist

About This Role

The Raw Materials Sourcing Specialist oversees the acquisition of raw materials essential for production processes.

This role involves developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, ensuring cost-effectiveness and maintaining quality and timely delivery of raw materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procure to Pay Process Management: Review purchase requisitions, float RFQs, prepare comparative quote sheets, negotiate best prices, and issue POs as per plan.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Follow Procurement SOP to ensure timely delivery of material, diligence in follow-ups with suppliers, timely payments, vendor reconciliations, etc.

Procurement Strategies: Develop and implement procurement strategies for raw materials to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and identify potential risks and opportunities in the raw materials market.

Supplier Evaluation and Selection: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities.

Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate favorable terms and conditions.

Performance Monitoring: Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns promptly.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.

Collaboration: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Inventory Management: Work closely with the Inventory Management team to ensure optimal stock levels of raw materials.

Waste Reduction: Implement inventory control measures to minimize wastage and reduce excess stock.
