Biopharmaceutical Research and Development Specialist

Job Summary:

This is a critical role in the development of biopharmaceutical products. The successful candidate will have expertise in pharmacokinetic modeling, in silico simulations, and generic formulation development.

The primary responsibility of this position is to design, develop, and implement innovative solutions for biopharmaceutical product development. This includes conducting experiments, analyzing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Expertise in handling software such as Gastroplus, Phoenix WinNonlin, and DDD Plus for in-silico simulations supporting generic formulation development.
  • Pharmacokinetic modeling and establishment of PBPK and IVIVC models.
  • Collaboration with associates for in vitro experimentations such as solubility, IDR, and development of biorelevant and discriminatory dissolution methods.
  • Review of raw data from various in vitro experiments and BE studies.
  • Writing protocols, reports, or lab procedures based on templates.
  • Collaboration with multifunctional project teams.
  • Independent performance and documentation of in silico modeling and simulation for various biopharmaceutical activities.
  • Thorough knowledge of excipients used in OSDs.
  • Documentation and drawing of relevant conclusions independently and designing next experiments; supervising project-related scientific/technical activities.
  • Problem-solving within own and broader areas of responsibility; communication across organizational interfaces.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience of 6-9 years in Biopharmaceutics R&D, IVIVC from generic pharmaceutical industry.
  • M Pharm (Biopharmaceutics, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmacology); Ph D (Pharmaceutical Sciences; Pharmaceutical Technology).
  • Attributes required of the job: ability to work independently; ability to work in a team; shows initiative; able to work with all levels of staff.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
