Global Launch Manager

The Global Launch Manager will lead the launch management team, overseeing all aspects of product launches for various portfolio segments. This role will support New Product Development (NPD) project management and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful product launches.

About the Role

This is a leadership position that requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, capable of driving new product launches globally and aligning cross-functional teams for success.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with regional leaders and key functions to ensure timely adherence to launch milestones.
  • Drive excellence in launch management to achieve successful execution.
  • Collaborate with regional heads to deliver accurate data on launch timelines and replenishment plans.
  • Lead cross-functional planning, including resource allocation, material planning, financial assessments, and capacity planning.
  • Provide inputs for portfolio decisions, identifying dependencies and implications.
  • Implement best practices in launch management, using dashboards, templates, and tools for efficient planning and execution.
  • Facilitate alignment and accountability within regional and corporate functions to meet company goals.
  • Manage launch calendars, optimize governance processes, and partner with senior management as needed.
  • Ensure effective communication of launch status across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain integrated launch plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders within and outside the company.
  • Foster talent through coaching, performance management, and setting clear expectations.
  • Oversee a team of planners and launch managers.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or higher in a relevant discipline.
  • Project management certification is a plus.
  • Experience:
  • 20+ years in planning, launch management, or a related role in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven leadership and management experience, with a track record of influencing cross-functional teams.
  • Deep knowledge of planning, product development, regulatory processes, and launch management.
  • Familiarity with pre-clinical, clinical, CMC, quality, regulatory, and commercial functions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Skilled at driving decisions and solving issues within an organization.
