Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Military Operations Research Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our defense team, you will design and code mathematical models, algorithms, and simulations to optimize military operations. Your work will drive the efficiency and effectiveness of our defense technologies, ensuring optimal resource allocation, mission success, and decision support in military operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and code mathematical models and algorithms to optimize military operations, such as resource allocation, mission planning, and logistics optimization.
  • Implement mathematical formulas, optimization models, and simulations in programming languages like Python, MATLAB, R, or C++.
  • Create intuitive and visually appealing presentation layers for communicating model results and insights to military stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Build simulation environments to evaluate and predict the outcomes of different military strategies and operational scenarios.
  • Analyze large datasets from sensors and navigation systems, integrating them into your models for real-time decision-making and optimization.
  • Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and defense personnel to push the boundaries of military technology and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop algorithms to mitigate potential vulnerabilities in defense operations.
Requirements
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in operations research or military analysis, particularly in a defense or government context.
  • Technical proficiency in coding mathematical models, algorithms, and simulations in Python, MATLAB, R, or C++.
  • Proficiency in creating user-friendly and interactive presentation layers using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or custom-built interfaces.
  • Strong understanding of operations research techniques such as optimization, stochastic modeling, and simulation.
  • Expertise with optimization tools like Gurobi, CPLEX, and simulation software like Arena or AnyLogic.
  • Familiarity with defense technologies such as drones, AI-command systems, and autonomous vehicles.
  • Experience with military operations, logistics, and supply chain management.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a focus on developing innovative solutions to complex military challenges.
  • Ability to present clearly technical findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in defense contracting or working directly with military clients.
  • Experience with data visualization and creating customized interfaces for simulation results and decision-support models.
  • Knowledge of AI and machine learning techniques as applied to defense systems.
