Snowflake Cloud Database Administrator Role

We are seeking a skilled Snowflake Cloud Database Administrator to join our organization in Bengaluru, India.

As a Snowflake Cloud Database Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure cloud-based databases. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with existing systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Familiarity with leading cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Snowflake is essential.
  2. Understanding their database offerings, such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database is crucial for effective management.
  3. A solid grasp of DBA principles, including schema design, backup and recovery procedures, user management, performance tuning and optimization including execution plans, and security best practices is required.
  4. Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL) for writing, understanding, and tuning complex queries.
  5. Ability to identify opportunities to optimize costs in the cloud environment.
  6. Knowledge of workflow automation tools like Apache Airflow.
  7. Familiarity with data build tools (DBT) for transforming data in the warehouse.
