Role Overview

We are looking for a Lead Data Engineer with strong expertise in Snowflake and dbt to design and deliver scalable cloud data pipelines and architectures. The candidate will lead solution design, mentor engineers, and work closely with architects, analysts, and business teams to deliver modern data engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of data pipelines and ELT workflows.
  • Build scalable and efficient data models in Snowflake using dbt.
  • Write optimized SQL queries and leverage Python for data processing and automation.
  • Partner with architects and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust data solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and governance in all pipelines.
  • Drive best practices for CI/CD, testing, and DevOps in data engineering.
  • Mentor a team of engineers and provide technical leadership.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 812 years of experience in Data Engineering with at least 2+ years in a lead/mentorship role.
  • Hands-on expertise in Snowflake and dbt (mandatory).
  • Strong knowledge of SQL (query optimization, performance tuning).
  • Proficiency in Python for ETL/ELT development and automation.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and ELT/ETL frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.

Good to Have

  • Exposure to Databricks, Spark, Kafka, Delta Lake.
  • Knowledge of Informatica IDMC/IICS or other enterprise ETL tools.
  • Experience in data governance, cataloging, and security.
  • Prior client-facing or consulting experience.
