IT Solutions Specialist Job Description

We are seeking an experienced IT solutions specialist to join our team.

Job Summary:

The IT solutions specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing IT solutions to meet business needs. This includes engaging with stakeholders to understand requirements, gathering and documenting business needs, working with various IT teams to develop and deliver solutions, and responding to system problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop IT Solutions:
  • Gather and document business requirements;
  • Work with various IT teams to develop and deliver IT solutions;
  • Analyze and respond to system problems;
  • Provide system training to end users.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Programming Skills:
  • Extensive Java development experience (Java EE 6/7);
  • Proven experience in JSR 168 and JSR 286 (Java Portlet Specification) development and support;
  • Experience with Relational Databases (Oracle DB, SQL, PL/SQL);
  • Experience with build & development best-practices/tools (e.g., use of SVN, IDEs, etc.).

Education:

Bachelor Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience;

Experience:

At least 6 years of experience in similar roles.
