Software Quality Assurance Manager

Job Summary

  • This role entails spearheading the development and implementation of quality assurance strategies and best practices across software testing, manual and automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand software requirements and prepare test plans in collaboration with the lead/manager.
  • Develop complex test data sets for testing and identify/select test cases for automation.
  • Execute tests (manual/automated), develop automated test scripts using Selenium and BDD framework, and suggest improvements on the automation framework.
  • Report defects, assist in their understanding, and analyze test results to track software testing metrics.
  • Prepare and present test reports, train and mentor junior software test engineers, and manage changes while executing regression tests.
  • Maximize test coverage, improve quality and productivity of output, communicate and collaborate with product developers and engineering peers, and demonstrate high attention to detail.
  • Implement or adhere to coding standards and best practices, responsible for quality checks, and adhere to the agreed service level agreement (SLA)/turnaround time (TAT).

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional work experience in software testing – manual & automation and quality assurance practice.
  • Exposure to trade finance platforms and experience in testing web applications, database, and APIs.
  • Strong expertise performing different types of functional and non-functional testing.
  • Experience in design and development of test automation framework leveraging relevant code libraries.
  • Proficient with quality assurance methodologies and good knowledge on REST APIs.
  • Good experience of database technologies like SQL server, MySQL, etc., and configuration management, version control, etc.

Preferred Skills

  • Financial services knowledge.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, multitask, and work to tight deadlines in a changing environment.
  • Proven ability to apply analytical and creative thoughts.
