Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to review and file Business tax returns. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tax filing, particularly with Business tax returns at similar or equivalent positions.

The selected individual will be responsible for reviewing and preparing tax returns, researching complex tax topics on a case-by-case basis, and staying up-to-date with changes in major tax laws. They will also be expected to draft replies for Tax Notices, compile required documents, and communicate with tax authorities as needed.

This role involves preparation and filing of 1099 Forms for various accounting clients at the year-end, as well as setting up systems and processes to expand tax department operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and file Business tax returns i.e. Form 1065, 1120, 1120s
  • Research on various complex tax topics on case to case basis
  • Keeping up to date with changes in major tax laws, both at the IRS and the state level
  • Drafting replies for Tax Notices and compiling required documents
  • Preparation and filing of 1099 Forms for various accounting clients at the year-end
  • Setting up systems and processes to expand tax department operations

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, and good project management skills. They should also have good people management skills.
