Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly analytical professional to join our team as a Business Data Analyst. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for managing Management Information Systems (MIS), generating business insights through data analysis, and monitoring performance metrics across functions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • MIS Reporting:
    • Develop, maintain, and automate MIS reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
    • Consolidate financial, operational, and business data into dashboards and presentations to support informed decision-making.
    • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of all MIS deliverables.
  • Data Analysis & Insights:
    • Collect, clean, and analyze data from multiple internal systems and external sources to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
    • Perform trend, variance, and root cause analysis on key business KPIs to provide actionable insights to management.
  • Performance Monitoring:
    • Track business performance against budgets, forecasts, and targets to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
    • Design and maintain performance scorecards and dashboards for different business functions to highlight risks, opportunities, and performance gaps.
  • Process Improvement & Automation:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline data collection and reporting processes, reducing manual effort and increasing efficiency.
    • Suggest and implement automation opportunities using Excel and Power BI to standardize templates, processes, and reports.

Key Competencies/Skillsets:

  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of financial and operational performance metrics, enabling data-driven decision-making.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, macros), Power BI preferred, and ability to interpret large datasets.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent presentation skills to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Ability to work under tight deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to drive results.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or Data Analytics.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in MIS, business analysis, or data analytics, preferably in financial services/investments/payments.
