Heating and Cooling Systems Technician

We are seeking a skilled professional to install, maintain and repair heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.

Job Summary:

This role involves ensuring that all HVAC equipment operates efficiently, safely and in compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Install, inspect, maintain and repair HVAC systems including air conditioners, chillers, furnaces, air handlers and ventilation units.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance of HVAC equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC systems and recommend effective solutions.
  • Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints and manufacturer specifications.
  • Adjust system controls to improve performance and ensure energy efficiency.
  • Test and balance air and hydronic systems to meet performance standards.
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records documenting all work performed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards building codes and environmental regulations.
  • Respond promptly to emergency service calls.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems electrical components and refrigeration cycles.
  • Ability to use HVAC tools gauges and diagnostic equipment.
  • Understanding of safety procedures and occupational health regulations.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment work in confined spaces and withstand varying weather conditions.
  • Diploma/ITI/Technical certification in HVAC Mechanical or related field.
