Senior Security Engineer - SIEM

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Engineer to lead our SIEM engineering team, ensuring the optimal performance and functionality of our security information and event management platform.

A successful candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of security information and event management systems, including configuration, deployment, and maintenance. They will also have expertise in developing and customizing rules, filters, and alerts to meet specific security monitoring and compliance requirements.

The ideal candidate will be able to collaborate with IT teams to onboard new data sources and integrate logs into the SIEM platform for comprehensive threat detection. Additionally, they will generate and present regular and ad-hoc reports on SIEM performance, security incidents, and compliance status to stakeholders and management.

To excel in this role, the candidate should stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to enhance SIEM capabilities and proactive defense strategies. They will participate in incident response activities, including incident simulations, tabletop exercises, and post-incident reviews.

The selected candidate will provide guidance and training to junior team members and stakeholders on SIEM platform usage, capabilities, and best practices.
