Purchasing Director

A key role in our organization is the Executive Manager, responsible for procurement of Bought out - Valve industry.

• Responsible for procurement of Bought out - Valve industry.
• Coordinate to ensure smooth and timely supply of material from bought out vendors.
• Document control.

B. Key Responsibilities:

• Expertise in Procurement of Fasteners, Teflon parts, Machined components & Fabrication parts.
• Daily checking of new purchase requisitions released, creating purchase orders for open purchase requisition.
• Coordinate with central sourcing team to finalize source for new items or items without price validity.
• Obtain order acknowledgement from supplier for each PO issued.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve any issues, clarify technical queries related to items in PO to ensure PO is acknowledged within 2 days from award.
• Run open purchase orders report and contact suppliers to expedite delivery as per committed delivery date in PO.
• Obtain Pre dispatch documents, verify and provide dispatch clearance.
• Coordinate with transporters for pickup of goods from supplier for cases on Ex-works basis.
• Visit stores regularly and ensure received goods are inspected by QC and taken into inventory.
• Resolve issues in received goods (rejection replacement).
• Ensure on-time payment to suppliers.
• Understand business requirement and prioritize work accordingly.
• Regularly participate in internal review meetings.
• Manage supplier performance - periodically visit critical suppliers, ensure their performance consistently meets business requirement.
• Run supplier performance reports, share with supplier and obtain improvement action plan for underperforming suppliers.
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials as per production schedule.
• ISO documentation related to purchase and maintenance of all other purchase-related documents.
• Work with supplier to reduce NCRs and communicate ECN changes.
• Ensure that all activities within the procurement department are in compliance with company policy.

C. Experience:

Essential:

Procurement and hands-on experience in casting category with commercial competence.

ERP/SAP-MM & PP modules.

Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement of Bought out parts from the valve industry.

Procurement and hands-on experience in casting category with commercial competence.

Knowledge of engineering standards and GD&T.
