Seeking a seasoned Underground Powerline Designer with electrical or civil engineering expertise to drive project success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Drafting: Utilize software such as Civil 3D, MicroStation, and ArcGIS to develop high-quality designs for underground powerline projects. Perform QA/QC reviews of pulling calculations, alignments, and design standards to ensure precision and compliance.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Coordinate and oversee the workload of junior drafting personnel, providing guidance and technical support to foster growth and excellence in project deliverables.
  • Project Management: Effectively manage multiple projects, deadlines, and deliverables simultaneously, leveraging problem-solving skills and prioritization to meet client expectations.
  • Innovation & Compliance: Stay abreast of industry developments and identify optimal methods to enhance design processes. Ensure all designs adhere to relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications:
  • Education & Experience: A Diploma in Electrical/Civil Engineering with 3-4 years of experience or an ITI in Electrical/Civil with 6-8 years of experience. Prior experience in underground transmission or distribution is advantageous.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Civil 3D or MicroStation for creating plan profile drawings is essential. Knowledge of underground powerline construction methods, easements, right-of-way, and permitting is beneficial.
  • Personal Attributes: Strong analytical capabilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, flexibility, and willingness to travel as needed to meet project demands.
