Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Leadership:
    • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive operational strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the organization's business goals.
    • Oversee all facets of plant operations, encompassing production planning, quality control, maintenance, engineering, supply chain management, and dispatch.
  • Production Excellence:
    • Drive aggressive targets for production output, efficiency, and productivity, maximizing overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and minimizing cycle times.
    • Implement and champion lean manufacturing principles, six sigma methodologies, total productive maintenance (TPM), and other continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Quality Assurance & Control:
    • Establish and maintain a robust quality management system, ensuring adherence to national and international quality certifications and stringent customer specifications.
    • Lead initiatives to reduce rejection rates, improve product consistency, and enhance overall product quality.
  • Cost Management & Budgeting:
    • Manage operational expenses, capital expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities through effective financial analysis and forecasting.
    • Monitor and analyze financial performance, implementing corrective actions to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Safety, Health & Environment (SHE):
    • Develop and enforce safety protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure a secure and healthy working environment.
    • Ensure complete compliance with local, state, and national environmental regulations, industrial safety standards, and statutory requirements.
  • Team Leadership & Human Resources Management:
    • Lead, mentor, develop, and inspire a diverse team of managers, engineers, supervisors, and workers across all plant functions.
    • Foster a positive, engaging, and performance-driven work environment.
  • Supply Chain & Logistics Oversight:
    • Ensure efficient management of raw material procurement, inventory control, and finished goods storage and dispatch to guarantee timely deliveries and optimize working capital.
    • Liaise strategically with key suppliers and logistics partners to ensure reliability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Compliance & Reporting:
    • Ensure all plant operations are in full compliance with relevant statutory regulations, industry standards, and internal company policies.
    • Prepare comprehensive operational reports, performance dashboards, and executive summaries for senior management.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact and representative for external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, local government authorities, auditors, and key customers/vendors.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with the local community, promoting the organization's positive image.
