Job Overview:

The ideal candidate for this position will succeed in this role if they have both knowledge and technical expertise about the industry. This is essential as they will be a central figure in decision-making, working with multiple individuals across different teams when necessary. As a result, they will also be overseeing specific personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Experience in plant and machinery department, particularly high-rise towers.
  • Erection, dismantling, maintenance, and operation of Luffing Jib tower cranes, passenger hoists, placer booms, etc.
  • Development of equipment erection, operation, and preparation of checklists.
  • Controlling spare parts inventory and cost optimization, sourcing of plant and machinery operators, mechanics, etc.
  • Generating local MIS to mechanical heads at HO/project in-charges.
  • Maintenance of site records of equipment, such as log books, preventive maintenance records, and upkeep of equipment at zonal sites.
  • Budget estimates for spares and running expenses for each machine and monitoring them on a monthly basis.
  • Training concerned personnel, workers, and operators on safe equipment usage, preventing accidents/MIS-happenings, and repair/servicing procedures, along with record-keeping requirements.
  • Optimum use of P&M corresponding to their rated productivity output.
  • Minimum breakdown of equipment and maximum availability at sites.
  • Service schedules based on hours/KMs running, implementing those strictly to achieve minimum break-down of equipment's, machinery, and vehicles.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) proficiency.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Minimum experience - 10 years.
