Job Description:

About Our Company:

We are working on India's first solid-state battery production, featuring the country's first solid-state lithium metal battery cell and a centre of excellence in Bangalore to experiment with various chemistries.

Our technology leverages automated discovery and characterization of solid electrolyte using AI to characterize various chemistry for taking it to production.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Production Oversight
  • Optimize efficiency and yield of daily operations of the solid-state battery cell production line.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production issues related to electrode coating, cell assembly, and sealing processes.
Quality Control
  • Establish and enforce strict quality control measures throughout the production process.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and specifications for solid-state batteries.
Team Leadership
  • Lead and motivate a team of production technicians, operators, and engineers responsible for cell assembly.
  • Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the team.
Technical Expertise
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of solid-state battery technology.
  • Show familiarity with advanced manufacturing techniques such as roll-to-roll processing, laser cutting, and precision handling equipment.
Project Management
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to implement new cell designs and technology advancements into production lines.
  • Manage project timelines and budgets related to production scale-up and process optimization.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Masters degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in lithium-ion battery manufacturing, with a strong focus on cell assembly processes.
  • Proven track record in managing production teams within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
