Senior Backend Developer Position:

Job Summary

Our company is seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development, with expertise in Python and Django.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable server-side solutions using Django, Django REST Framework, and Python object-oriented programming best practices.
  • Develop high-quality, modular, and maintainable code that meets the requirements of global clients.
  • Ensure application security, performance, and scalability while maintaining a clean and modular codebase.
  • Work closely with frontend developers, designers, DevOps engineers, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Participate in client meetings to present technical solutions and provide updates.
  • Stay updated with emerging backend trends, Python libraries, cloud services, and deployment best practices.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Prior experience in a client-facing role involving requirement gathering and solution presentation.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 4-7 years of professional backend development experience with Python and Django (including Django REST Framework).
  • Demonstrable experience and strong proficiency in object-oriented programming principles, including class design, inheritance, encapsulation, and polymorphism in Python.
  • Proven experience in designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases PostgreSQL/MySQL and ORM concepts.
  • Experience in integrating applications with cloud platforms is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control Git, and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional, agile teams.
