Job Title: High Voltage Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced High Voltage Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in high voltage electrical engineering, with expertise in the design, development, and implementation of high voltage electrical systems.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of transmission and distribution networks, including protection schemes, and be able to develop and design primary systems for HV/EHV substations and power plants.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing technical design documents, including general arrangement drawings, layouts, single line diagrams, sectional views, panel arrangements, cable schedules, earthing systems, and technical specifications.

You will also analyze results obtained from power system simulation software, prepare schemes for facilitating new connections, and work with design teams to finalize technical specifications covering functional requirements, ratings, and parameters.

Possessing sufficient knowledge and/or experience to work safely in an HV/EHV substation, adhering to HSE regulations and industry standards, you will ensure compliance and mitigate risks.

With a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with specific focus in HV/EHV substations, lines, switchgears, power plants, etc., you will possess knowledge of Transmission & Distribution UK GRID Code/Standards and prior experience working with utilities in the UK or Europe.

You will work closely with project managers, secondary design engineers, civil design engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of primary systems/equipment.
