Job Title: Redshift Database Administrator

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain scalable cloud environments and applications for data organization.
  • Install and configure software, services, and applications by identifying system requirements.
  • Expertise in database platforms including AWS Redshift, AWS RDS, MySQL, and Snowflake.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with AWS Services and DB/Server performance.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance to ensure optimal operation.
  • Knowledge of daily database operations, deployments, and development.
  • Experienced in Snowflake and SQL performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of Linux Shell Scripting or Python programming.
  • Migrate systems between AWS cloud environments.
  • Resolve DB and Server performance issues.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering.
  • 6+ years of experience in system, platform, and AWS cloud administration.
  • 4+ years of experience in database administration using latest AWS technologies – AWS Redshift, RDS, S3, EC2, NLB, VPC etc.
  • 2+ years of experience in Snowflake administration.
  • Experience with Agile software development using JIRA.
  • Experience with multiple operating system platforms with a strong emphasis on Linux and Windows systems.
  • Experience with OS-level scripting environments such as KSH shell and PowerShell.
  • Experience with version management tools and CICD pipelines.
  • In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP protocol suite, security architecture, securing and hardening Operating Systems, Networks, Databases, and Applications.
  • Advanced SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL), query performance tuning.
  • Experience supporting and optimizing data pipelines and datasets.
  • Knowledge of Incident Response life cycle.
  • AWS solution architect certifications preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
