Job Title:

Data Engineer - Cloud Architecture

Key Responsibilities:
  • Study existing technology landscape, data integration framework and perform impact assessments for project requirements.
  • Develop Spark jobs using Scala for new projects and enhance existing ones as needed.
  • Tune performance of Spark jobs, stress test them and create new data pipelines with AWS Lambda or Apache Airflow.
  • Responsible for database design process including logical and physical designs.
  • Analyze data processing and integration requirements, define data loading strategies and balance cost and performance.
Requirements:
  • 7-9 years IT experience, 5+ years in AWS-related projects.
  • Associate Level and Professional Level AWS Certification is a plus.
  • Must have knowledge of AWS Services: S3, EC2, EMR, Serverless, Athena, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions.
  • Cloud Databases: Aurora, Singlestore, RedShift, Snowflake.
  • Big Data: Hadoop, Hive, Spark, YARN.
  • Programming Languages: Scala, Python, Shell Scripts, PySpark.
  • Operating Systems: Any Linux flavor, Windows.
  • Strong SQL Skills.
  • Orchestration Tools: Apache Airflow.
