Remote Accounting Specialist

Please only apply if you have already resigned and are available to start immediately. We are looking for immediate joiners who can manage daily bank transactions, prepare financial statements, and monitor tax compliance.

This role is vital to ensuring timely and accurate financial records, efficient accounts payable management, and full compliance with regulatory obligations.

  • Manage general accounting tasks – Prepare financial statements, post daily bank transactions, and maintain monthly reconciliations in cloud-based software.
  • Record journal entries – Manage accruals, prepaids, and balance sheet items in accordance with GAAP.
  • Support tax compliance – Monitor and ensure timely filing of Sales/Use Tax returns.
  • Assist accounts payable – Process vendor invoices, credit memos, and 1099s via automated payment systems.
  • Maintain financial systems – Use and update tools like cloud-based accounting software, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field with 2–5 years of experience in general accounting; AP experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in cloud-based accounting software, such as NetSuite, Bill.com, QuickBooks, and Sage.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and strong attention to detail.
  • Remote work experience with US clients – A must for this role.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, organized work style.
  • Adaptable to a dynamic environment – Open to evolving tools and workflows.
