Purchasing Strategist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Purchasing Strategist to lead our procurement efforts, drive cost savings, and foster strong relationships with suppliers.

About the Role:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive purchasing strategies that optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Manage a team of skilled professionals to ensure seamless execution of procurement processes.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, leveraging market insights and industry expertise to secure favorable terms and pricing.
  • Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and internal data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Maintain strict compliance with company policies, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast procurement needs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities and develop strategic partnerships to drive long-term value and growth.
  • Design and implement metrics-driven reporting to measure procurement performance, cost savings, and vendor efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, with at least 3 years in a leadership/managerial role.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic negotiations, vendor development, and cost optimization.
  • Proficient in procurement software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles, contract law, and market dynamics.
