Senior Infrastructure Strategist

Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned infrastructure strategist to lead our organization's IT operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our infrastructure strategy, ensuring seamless integration with our business goals.

About the Role

• Develops and implements the organization's infrastructure strategy, aligning it with its overall objectives.
• Reviews and analyzes existing infrastructure effectiveness and efficiency, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for cost optimization.
• Negotiates software, hardware, and IT supplies purchases with management approval.
• Manages inventory of software licenses, software, hardware, and other IT supplies, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
• Collaborates with senior management and peers to gain acceptance on alternative approaches, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Manages outsourced teams for daily operations and activities, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Provides solutions to complex business problems, leveraging in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives and industry best practices.
• Ensures production incident management and regulatory compliance, maintaining high standards of quality and security.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in infrastructure management for both on-premise data centers and cloud infrastructure.
• Program and project management expertise, with experience in planning and executing infra-related projects.
• In-depth hands-on knowledge of infrastructure components, including servers, storage, databases, operating systems (Windows and Linux), and networks.
• Good knowledge and exposure to cloud computing, with experience in private and public cloud architectures, pros/cons, and migration considerations.
