Job Overview

The Operations Manager - Dark Stores will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence across assigned retail stores and Dark Stores.

This involves overseeing end-to-end processes, including ordering, indenting, receiving, storage, billing, manpower management, customer experience, and adherence to company SOPs.

The role requires strong leadership, process orientation, and cross-functional coordination with internal departments (Maintenance, Licensing, Marketing, etc.).

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Oversee daily operations of retail stores to ensure smooth functioning.
  • Manage the entire supply chain, from ordering to inventory management.
  • Ensure accurate stock replenishment and timely billing.
  • Monitor and drive adherence to company SOPs across all operational areas.

Team & People Management

  • Build, lead, train, and motivate store teams to achieve operational excellence.
  • Ensure that stores are equipped with the right staff members at all times.
  • Develop and implement effective manpower planning and productivity strategies.

Process & Compliance

  • Implement and monitor hygiene, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Coordinate renewals of licenses and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure 100% adherence to product quality and handling protocols.

Last Mile Deliveries

  • Oversee last-mile delivery processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with agencies for dedicated last-mile delivery services.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Liaise with central teams for maintenance, marketing activations, and real estate requirements.
  • Collaborate with procurement, finance, and HR for smooth process alignment.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Track key performance metrics (sales, shrinkage, wastage, manpower costs, customer feedback).
  • Prepare and present regular reports as per shared formats.
