Job Title: Senior Data Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Architect to join our team. As a key member, you will play a crucial role in helping clients transform their corporate finance function by leveraging advanced analytics.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders to design and implement data strategies in the finance space, including controllership, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and procurement. Your technical expertise will be instrumental in developing scalable analytical solutions using cloud and big data technologies.

As a Senior Data Architect, you will collaborate with business consultants and product owners to design and implement technical solutions, ensuring seamless communication and organization skills. You will also participate in pre-sales activities and publish thought leadership pieces to showcase your expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and drive end-to-end data and analytics solution architecture from concept to delivery
  • Develop conceptual/logical/physical data models for analytics solutions
  • Evaluate industry-accepted data architecture principles, standards, guidelines, and concepts, integrating them with allied disciplines and coordinating roll-out and adoption strategies
  • Drive the design, sizing, setup, etc., of Azure environments and related services
  • Provide mentoring on data architecture design and requirements to development and business teams
  • Review solution requirements and architecture to ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources, and integration of multiple systems and technology
  • Advise on new technology trends and possible adoption to maintain competitive advantage

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering multiple data solutions
  • Proven experience with extract, transform, and load (ETL) development both on-premises and in the cloud using SSIS, Azure Data Factory, and related Microsoft and other ETL technologies
  • Deep understanding of relational databases, data warehousing, and big data platforms like Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks, HDInsights, and Azure Data Lake
  • Ability to configure and administer all aspects of SQL Server
  • Experience with different data models like normalized, denormalized, star, and snowflake models, worked with transactional, temporal, time series, and structured and unstructured data
  • Strong technical background and evergreen knowledge of technology and industry developments
