Senior IT Professional Required

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless operation and resolution of complex issues on the AS/400 system.

This role requires a strong understanding of technical aspects, including IBM AS/400, COBOL, RPG programming, DB2 databases, and L2/L3 support experience.

  • Familiarize yourself with the system architecture diagram of the AS400 application, including its interface mechanisms with upstream and downstream systems.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of business processes and document various AS400 environments, OS levels, and database versions.
  • Perform code walkthroughs of complex COBOL, RPG code modules to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure integration with other systems and set up monitoring on AS400 servers to maintain optimal performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Resolving technical issues and providing timely support to stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement solutions and drive business outcomes.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes to enhance efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of AS/400 system administration, including configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in COBOL and RPG programming languages.
  • Experience with DB2 databases and familiarity with data modeling principles.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
