Samarthya Investment Advisors is an early-stage venture capital firm focused on investing in high-potential startups. We invest in bold founders building transformative businesses, providing strategic insights, access to our global network of experts, and operational support along with capital.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated investment analyst to join our team. This role offers hands-on experience in early-stage investing, startup evaluation, portfolio company management, and ecosystem engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deal Evaluation - Conduct market size analysis, evaluate products/services, assess teams, business models, and financials, identify risk factors, and analyze competitive landscapes and funding histories. Prepare detailed investment notes on potential opportunities.
  • Due Diligence – Support the investment team in commercial due diligence, financial due diligence, and legal due diligence, and coordinate with professional firms to oversee their diligence findings.
  • Deal Sourcing– Assist in sourcing opportunities from founder networks, investment bankers, and startup ecosystems. Screen startups, review pitch decks, and conduct preliminary assessments based on deal evaluation metrics.
  • Portfolio Support – Engage with portfolio companies, assist in preparing updates, and help founders with research and go-to-market strategies.
  • Ecosystem Engagement – Attend startup events, demo days, and network with founders, accelerators, and fellow investors.
  • Internal Reports & Documentation – Assist in preparing compliance documentation and internal records.
  • Investor Relations – Assist in making presentations for limited partners and investor updates.

Requirements

  • NISM Series XIX-D exam is mandatory.
  • Passion for startups, venture capital, and innovation.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to assess market trends and business models.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Background in business, finance, economics, engineering, or related fields preferred (though not mandatory).
  • Prior experience in startups, consulting, investment banking, or finance is a plus.
  • An insatiable hunger to learn.
