About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Kafka Cluster Expert to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing large-scale Kafka clusters.

As a Kafka Cluster Expert, you will work closely with our developers to ensure that our Kafka clusters meet the highest standards of performance, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement large-scale Kafka clusters for high-performance applications.
  • Manage and monitor Kafka cluster performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to optimize cluster efficiency.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of Kafka clusters with other systems and applications.
  • Develop and maintain documentation on Kafka cluster configurations, best practices, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Kafka technology and incorporate new features and capabilities into our cluster infrastructure.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale distributed systems.
  • Proven expertise in Apache Kafka, including configuration, deployment, and management.
  • Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems, Windows Server, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Experience with shell scripting, Python programming, and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, GitOps).
  • CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins) and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace).
  • Atlassian stack (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket).
Good to Have
  • Experience with IBM MQ / RabbitMQ.
  • Knowledge of Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, ServiceNow.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in distributed systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
