Job Title: Kafka & Debezium Engineer

Location: Pune (Onsite/Hybrid)

Experience Required: 3–5 years

Joining: Immediate Joiners Preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and manage Kafka-based data streaming pipelines.
  • Implement Debezium connectors for real-time CDC (Change Data Capture).
  • Monitor and optimize Kafka clusters for high availability and scalability.
  • Manage Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, and serialization formats.
  • Collaborate with data engineering and development teams for end-to-end integration.

Required Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka (producers, consumers, brokers, partitions, topics).
  • Experience with Debezium CDC connectors.
  • Proficiency in Kafka Connect and Schema Registry.
  • Knowledge of serialization formats: Avro, Protobuf, JSON.
  • Familiarity with Zookeeper or KRaft mode for Kafka cluster management.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems and replication.
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, or Scala for Kafka-based development.
  • Hands-on with Monitoring & Observability tools: Confluent Control Center, Prometheus, Grafana.

Good to Have:

  • Knowledge of stream processing frameworks: Kafka Streams, Spark Streaming, Flink.
  • Experience with messaging/queuing systems: RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ.
  • Exposure to cloud-managed Kafka services (Confluent Cloud, AWS MSK, Azure Event Hubs).
  • Familiarity with data pipeline orchestration tools like Airflow or NiFi.
