Motion Designer and Video Content Creator

We are seeking a talented professional to join our team as a Motion Designer and Video Content Creator. The ideal candidate will possess excellent storytelling skills, the ability to break down complex topics into engaging narratives, and experience in creating high-quality animated educational videos.

The role involves collaborating with scriptwriters, product teams, and creative leads to bring content to life in a way that resonates with both beginners and experienced users. The successful candidate will have a solid portfolio of 2D or motion graphic explainers, preferably in the crypto or fintech domain.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and animate explainer videos in a style similar to Coinbase Learn.
  2. Transform scripts and storyboards into polished motion videos.
  3. Collaborate with copywriters and SMEs to simplify complex content.
  4. Create animated assets (charts, UI flows, crypto concepts).
  5. Record or edit voiceovers, sync audio, and apply subtle sound design.
  6. Maintain brand style guides, animation principles, and reusable templates.
  7. Optimize videos for YouTube, app platforms, and social media.

Requirements:

  1. 3-6 years of experience in motion design, video content creation, or explainer video production.
  2. A solid portfolio of 2D or motion graphic explainers.
  3. Strong storytelling ability and comfort working with abstract concepts.
  4. Ability to work under creative direction while also proposing improvements.

Bonus qualifications include:

  1. Experience creating educational content for YouTube or learning platforms.
  2. Understanding of crypto, NFTs, or tokenomics.
  3. Experience using Lottie or exporting animations for web/mobile.

Deliverables:

  • 1-3 minute animated explainers.
  • Social media cutdowns.
  • Source project files.
