As a seasoned database leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our data systems.

Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining secure database solutions, monitoring and optimizing performance, and collaborating with development teams to support software releases and schema changes.

Work closely with IT and business stakeholders to drive innovation and growth while adhering to regulatory requirements in the financial services industry.

Expertise is required in SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL as well as strong proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, and performance analysis tools.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, and 7+ years of hands-on experience in database administration, design, and performance tuning are essential qualifications.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available database solutions
  • Monitor and optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and storage management
  • Lead capacity planning, disaster recovery strategy, and backup/restore processes
  • Implement and enforce database security controls including encryption, access controls, and auditing
  • Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to support software releases and schema changes
  • Automate routine database operations using scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools
  • Manage and troubleshoot replication, clustering, and failover configurations
  • Maintain documentation, procedures, and standards for database systems
  • Evaluate new database technologies and make recommendations for adoption
