Lead Database Architect - Azure

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Database Architect to oversee the design, implementation, and management of SQL Server databases in Azure.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of planning, implementing, and overseeing high-performance, scalable, and secure database architectures on-premises and in the cloud.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement highly available, performant, and secure database architectures using Azure SQL Server and Azure SQL Subscription services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute database migrations from on-premises SQL Server to Azure SQL.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex database performance issues and optimize database configurations for improved query performance and scalability.
  • Maintain and enforce security policies, access controls, and compliance standards for all database environments.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery, backup, and high availability solutions to ensure business continuity.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a senior-level SQL Server DBA or similar role.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure SQL Server and Azure SQL Subscription management.
  • Strong expertise in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization techniques.
  • Deep knowledge of T-SQL, backup/recovery, replication, indexing, and security configurations.
  • Familiarity with Azure services like Azure Monitor, Azure Security Center, and Azure Automation.
