Senior Oracle DBA Job Description

This job opening is for a highly skilled Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) who will be responsible for the overall design, development, implementation, and maintenance of our Oracle database environment.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in Oracle R12.2 and 19c versions, as well as strong knowledge of Oracle core database architecture and concepts.

They should also be proficient in OS like Linux and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement Oracle databases to meet business requirements.
  • Perform regular backups, data recovery, and database tuning to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor and resolve database issues, including alerts and OEM notifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement database security, access control, and compliance measures.
  • Provide expert-level technical support for database-related issues and participate in on-call rotations.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in Oracle database administration, specifically with Oracle R12.2 and 19c versions.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle core database architecture, data modeling, and storage management.
  • Expert-level knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle Utilities.
  • Proficiency in Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
