As a Senior Python Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and building high-performance data pipelines using Python. Your goal will be to develop scalable and efficient solutions that meet the needs of our organization.

  • You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design data architectures that support our goals.
  • Your expertise in Pandas and NumPy will be essential in performing complex data transformations and aggregations.
  • You will also be responsible for implementing data validation, cleaning, and merging routines to ensure data quality.
  • A strong understanding of version control systems like Git is necessary to manage code changes and collaborate with team members.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience in writing Python code, with a focus on object-oriented and functional programming paradigms.
  • Expertise in Pandas and NumPy for data transformations, along with a strong comfort level with Python's datetime and copy modules.
  • Proven experience in designing modular Python packages and managing versioned releases.
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into clean and maintainable Python functions and classes.
  • Proficiency in pytest (or equivalent) for automated testing and mocking.
  • Strong use of Python's logging module to instrument scripts and manage log levels.
