Data Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our organization. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines to support our growing business needs.

You will collaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility and fostering data-driven decision making across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with experience in designing and implementing scalable data pipelines using Google Cloud Platform services like BigQuery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops and maintains scalable data pipelines to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity.
  • Collaborates with analytics and business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools.
  • Implements processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it.
  • Writes unit integration tests, contributes to engineering wiki, and documents work.
  • Performs data analysis required to troubleshoot data related issues and assist in the resolution of data issues.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Four years of Python or Java development experience.
  • Four years of SQL experience.
  • No-SQL experience is a plus.
  • Four years of experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling.
  • Four years of experience with Big Data Technologies like Spark, Hive.
  • Two years of experience on data engineering on Google Cloud platform services like BigQuery.
Desirable Skills:
  • Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and ETL process.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS or Azure.
