Job Title: Storekeeper

Job Summary:

The Storekeeper will be responsible for managing the storage and distribution of supplies, ensuring that inventory levels are maintained and items are accurately recorded and tracked.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Maintain and oversee inventory levels, ensuring that stock is kept at optimal levels.
  • Receiving and Inspecting Goods: Receive deliveries, inspect the quality and quantity of items, and ensure they match the purchase orders.
  • Stock Distribution: Distribute supplies to various departments as needed, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all inventory transactions, including receipts, distributions, and returns.
  • Storage Organization: Organize and manage the storage areas, ensuring that items are stored in a safe, efficient, and accessible manner.
  • Stock Audits: Conduct regular stock audits and inventory checks to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
  • Ordering Supplies: Coordinate with procurement to reorder supplies as needed, ensuring continuous availability of essential items.
  • Waste Management: Monitor and manage waste and expired items, ensuring proper disposal and adherence to regulations.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit inventory reports, providing insights and recommendations for inventory management improvements.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure that all storage areas comply with safety and health regulations, maintaining a clean and organized environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a similar role within the hotel or hospitality industry.
  • Proven experience in inventory management or a related field.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in record-keeping and inventory management.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and suppliers.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving inventory issues.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items and perform tasks that require physical exertion.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various departments to meet their inventory needs.
