About the Role

As a seasoned professional, you will lead a high-performing team of credit analysts in India to underwrite deals for the US market. This involves collaborating closely with the Credit Committee in New York to ensure seamless functioning of the credit function.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, a deep understanding of financial markets, and the ability to drive quality and process enhancements in the credit function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of credit analysts in India.
  • Work collaboratively with the Credit Committee in New York.
  • Ensure the quality of credit analysis and train the team.
  • Oversee daily underwriting pipeline and queues.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for escalated or complex underwriting scenarios.
  • Mentor underwriters and monitor team performance.
  • Ensure underwriting decisions meet guidelines while supporting risk management and quality control initiatives.
  • Ideate and execute process enhancements in the credit function.
  • Interact with clients and stakeholders to gather feedback.
  • Interact with Data Science and Trading teams.
  • Presents hand-selected deals to investment committee for final approval.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate degree from a premier institution with a specialization in finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Additional financial qualification such as CFA Level 2+ or FRM Level 2.
  • Experience in credit analysis, especially in the real estate industry.
  • Experience in leading a small team of highly skilled analysts.
  • Exposure to US or European clients and managing offshore teams will be an advantage.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
