Job Title: Data Management Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Data Management Specialist to support data management activities across multiple business divisions. This role involves data retention, archiving, disposition requirements, risk management, and documentation.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in data management, information management, or a related field. Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Assessment: Assess and document data retention, archiving, and disposition requirements.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate data management risks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Implementation: Compile and track progress on implementation of data management strategies.
  • Communication: Represent the data management team in cross-functional meetings, communicating key policies and requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Develop process improvements and collaborate with teams to implement business and technical solutions.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years' experience in data management, information management, or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Attention to detail and ability to document complex data management requirements.
  • Experience in business analysis, process improvement, and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Nice to Have:

  • Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Knowledge of data protection/privacy regulations and experience with data privacy laws.
  • Familiarity with database/cloud technologies, AI, and reporting tools (Tableau/Power BI).
  • Experience with large-scale data sets.
