Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement data governance strategies to ensure the integrity of master data.
  • Lead the design and implementation of master data models, including material master, vendor, customer, and finance objects.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and data quality metrics to measure data accuracy and completeness.
Data Quality Management:
  • Monitor and improve data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across SAP modules.
  • Analyze and resolve data quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Oversee master data cleansing and enrichment activities to ensure high-quality data.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of MDM analysts and coordinators.
  • Collaborate with business users, functional consultants, and technical teams to gather requirements and resolve issues.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for SAP master data management in cross-functional projects.
System Implementation & Support:
  • Manage SAP MDM solutions, including configuration, workflows, and integration with other systems.
  • Participate in SAP rollouts, upgrades, and migration projects.
  • Ensure compliance with data-related aspects of regulatory requirements.
Documentation & Training:
  • Develop and maintain documentation for MDM processes, data dictionaries, and business rules.
  • Conduct training sessions for business users and data stewards on MDM best practices.
Requirements:
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
  • Experience:
  • 7–12 years of SAP experience, with at least 4+ years in a Master Data Management lead role.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP MDM, MDG (Master Data Governance), and Data Services tools.
  • Experience in S/4HANA is highly preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of SAP master data objects (material, vendor, customer, BOM, GL, cost center, etc.).
  • Expertise in data governance, validation rules, and approval workflows.
  • Proficient in data profiling, cleansing tools, and reporting (SAP MDG, SAP Data Services, Excel, SQL).
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
Preferred Attributes:
  • Exposure to large-scale SAP implementations or global data management programs.
  • Experience with Agile project delivery and data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA, DCAM).
  • Familiarity with integration tools (e.g., BODS, PI/PO, CPI) and third-party data platforms.
