Localization Specialist

Job Overview:

As a Localization Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality text-based and subtitling products on time. This role is ideal for individuals who are driven, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively with a distributed international workforce.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver scripts and subtitles for various languages within a specified region using Deluxe platforms.
  • Manage capacity and pre-assignment of future tasks to translators/editors, ensuring accurate planning.
  • Communicate daily with stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and adherence to timelines.
  • Effectively manage changes to project plans, including new assets, modified instructions, or queries from translators/editors.
  • Ensure timely delivery of all tasks in the workflow, respecting project milestones, procedures, and client specifications.
  • Own 100% data accuracy in the Deluxe platform, including milestones/deadlines for each task, final due dates, and client-facing user information.
  • Leverage efficient methods to assign tasks, avoiding bottlenecks and ensuring tasks are ready for start-up.
  • Provide clear and timely communication to translators, representing the Deluxe brand and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Liaise with Order Management to communicate changes to project plans, ensuring impacted teams are informed and deadlines are respected.
  • Escalate potential risks and suggest mitigation strategies as part of daily tasks.
  • Run daily reports using Sfera/Tableau dashboards for respective languages, ensuring all work-in-progress tasks are on track and there are no past dues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A graduate degree is required.
  • Excellent command of the English language, along with knowledge of other cultures. Additional language proficiency is a plus.
  • Good communication, time management skills, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • A keen interest in the media industry, preferably with knowledge of localization.
  • Attention to detail when working with large datasets in Deluxe platforms.
