High Availability Specialist

We are seeking a skilled High Availability Specialist to ensure the reliability and performance of our services. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, developing, and implementing Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and Service Level Indicators (SLIs).

Job Description

As a High Availability Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs for services within the organization.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify process gaps and recommend best practices based on industry standards.
  • Providing technical expertise on complex automation and functional issues.

Additionally, you will work closely with developers, product managers, project managers, team leads, security, and QA team members to deliver high-quality services.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Over 8 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), handling high-traffic production systems independently, troubleshooting middleware and infrastructure, automation, regular operation, etc.
  • Implementing SRE principles regarding performance, reliability, monitoring, and alerting in production environments.
  • Experience in managing large-scale services.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux-based system operation and extensive skills in Linux commands.
  • Hands-on experience in Unix/Linux/Shell/Python scripting.
  • Experience with automation/configuration management tools such as Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible.
  • Experience in developing and operating one or more of the following systems: Kubernetes, Nginx, ELK stack, Hadoop, etc.
