Senior Data Engineering Lead

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Data Engineering Lead to spearhead our data engineering initiatives. This individual will be responsible for designing, architecting, and implementing large-scale data pipelines, data lakes, and cloud-based data warehouses using Databricks and Apache Spark.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cloud data platforms, including services like S3, Redshift, BigQuery, and Snowflake. They will also have experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Kafka, and Databricks ecosystem.

In this role, you will lead a team of data engineers, fostering collaboration, innovation, and growth. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, and software teams to translate requirements into efficient data solutions.

You will be responsible for developing, optimizing ETL/ELT workflows to ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability. Additionally, you will implement best practices for data quality, governance, security, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, architect, and implement large-scale data pipelines, data lakes, and cloud-based data warehouses.
  • Develop, optimize ETL/ELT workflows ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of data engineers fostering collaboration, innovation, and growth.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data scientists, and software teams to translate requirements into efficient data solutions.
  • Implement best practices for data quality, governance, security, and compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement of data engineering processes, standards, and tools across the organization.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 18 years professional experience in data engineering with at least 12 years in leadership or senior technical roles.
  • Deep hands-on expertise with Databricks and Apache Spark.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java.
  • Extensive experience with cloud data platforms including services like S3, Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, ETL/ELT design, and data lakes.
  • Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Kafka, and Databricks ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, data orchestration tools, and data governance best practices.
