Accounts Payable Team Lead Job Description

This position entails leading a team in accounts payable, ensuring efficient and timely processing of invoices. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement to pay processes, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Process local and foreign currency invoices through the accounts payable systems.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and suppliers.
  • Identify improvement opportunities to enhance AP and T&E processes through Lean and Six Sigma projects.
  • Query handling and issue resolution, ensuring SLA compliance.
  • Generate system-based reports and implement initiatives to improve processes and efficiencies.
  • Prepare and update process documents, develop policies and procedures for AP activities, and conduct quality checks.
  • Solve queries of team members and create a knowledge database for learning and development.

Key Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of relevant work experience.
  • Graduates or postgraduates with a degree in Finance/Accounting.
  • End-to-end knowledge in procure to pay and accounts payable processes.
  • Good domain expertise and understanding of SAP or Concur.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, result-oriented, and team-leading experience.

Working Conditions:

Must be comfortable working night shifts, rotational weeks off, and 5 days of work from office.
