We are seeking an expert in digital accessibility to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all online content meets the highest standards of accessibility.

Job Description

As a Digital Accessibility Specialist, you will be the end-to-end owner of accessibility delivery for our clients. This involves conducting automated and manual audits to identify areas of improvement, testing websites and applications to ensure they meet accessibility standards, and providing clear and prioritized fixes to remediate any issues found.

Your key responsibilities will include assessing websites, portals, Learning Management Systems (LMS), documents, and multimedia content for accessibility; testing with screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, and mobile responsiveness; and remediating PDFs, Office documents, videos, and multimedia content. You will also guide developers on accessible coding practices, prepare VPATs/ACRs, and advise clients on ADA, Section 508, WCAG 2.1/2.2, and emerging US/state accessibility laws.

In addition to your technical skills, you will need strong documentation and reporting skills to communicate audit findings, VPAT/ACR, and other compliance-related information to clients.

Required Skills & Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2, ADA Title II/III, Section 504/508;
  • Hands-on experience with JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, Axe, WAVE, SiteImprove, Adobe Acrobat Pro;
  • Proficiency in HTML5, ARIA, CSS3, JavaScript (React/Angular a plus);
  • Strong documentation/reporting skills (audit findings, VPAT/ACR);
  • Experience supporting federal, state, or higher education contracts preferred;
