Expert in IT Procurement and Supply Chain Management

The Procurement Specialist for IT categories is responsible for acquiring high-quality IT products and services in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Responsibilities:
- Procure all types of IT hardware, software, and related services with an annual spend size exceeding 100 crores.
- Procure administrative materials and services, including steel and cement for new projects and expansions.
- Negotiate, contract, order, deliver, and settle procurement transactions.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including internal and external audits of the procurement-to-pay cycle.
- Participate actively in annual budgets, track due dates and renewals, and prepare ahead of time for negotiations and closure.
- Mitigate risks, develop alternatives, optimize and strategize spending to achieve speed and cost excellence.
- Take ownership of the IT spend category and manage it consistently, ensuring delivery, availability, cost savings, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Graduate degree in engineering (Computer Engg, IT, or Electronics) with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Materials Management (PGDMM) or MBA in IT Systems preferred.
- Minimum 6-10 years of experience in a similar role in a large, complex organization.

- Collaborative approach with problem-solving attitude.
- Process orientation and strong ethics.
- IT and computer savvy with Excel and MS Office skills.
Reporting and Leadership:
Reports directly to the Head of Procurement.
Number of direct reports: 1.
