Seismic Geophysicist Role

This position is for an experienced geophysicist responsible for seismic reservoir characterization and interpretation projects. The ideal candidate will have advanced expertise in geophysics, including seismic data analysis and inversion techniques.

The successful applicant will possess a deep understanding of subsurface reservoir properties and be able to utilize cutting-edge geophysical techniques and software to generate inversion products and attributes for characterizing reservoirs.

Key responsibilities include:

">
  • ">
  • Performing seismic interpretation and integration of well and associated data">
  • Generating rock physical models and performing fluid substitution analysis and synthetic modelling">
  • Working with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate seismic data with geological and petrophysical information">
  • Performing attribute analyses and risk-uncertainty analysis of seismic inversion and reservoir characterization">
  • Planning and optimizing well placement and providing inputs to well planning and drilling/operations">
  • Providing inputs for integrated sub-surface description, appraisal programs, and field development plans">

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • ">
  • Minimum 8 years experience in E&P with working experience as seismic interpreter/seismic reservoir characterization geophysicist">
  • Extensive experience in prospect/field evaluation, seismic attributes & inversion, velocity modelling, risk & uncertainty assessment, techno-commerciality analysis, and exploration/appraisal/development well placement">
  • Knowledge of identifying and capturing uncertainties and risk in the geophysical interpretations">
  • Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and deliver as per business plan requirements">
